  • Memory Express is a great place (in Calgary and a few other cities in Western Canada) to shop for computer parts and toys for geeks.
  • Newegg has lots of stuff and they now have a Canadian web site, though they ship from a US warehouse (and use UPS) they charge you the GST and pay UPS a fee to avoid the border crossing issue, so the service is pretty good and it seems to take about a week to get things shipped
  • NCIX.com is good for Canadian mail order.
  • New Type Computer Workshop is another Canadian mail order company
  • BestDirect is also good for Canadian mail order of computer gear.
  • TigerDirect has a Canadian presence which solves the customs duties issue.
  • MonoPrice.com has a very good selection of cables and other related parts and tools. They also have flexible shipping, and for Canadians will ship via the regular postal system (which while not very fast is quite cheap and avoids excessive brokerage fees)
  • dealextreme.com has lots of neat stuff.
