Solar Car Challenge:
In July 2005 Calgary was the host to the finish of the Solar Car Challenge (team list). The finish line was on the campus of the University of Calgary and the cars were displayed after the race in the Olympic Speed Skating Oval for all to see. A lot of people came out to see this and there was also a small exhibit of alternate energy and conservation technologies outside the oval.Here are some photos I took:
